ARTIST"S STATEMENT

​​My work consists of highly stylized pen and ink drawings combined with whimsical two and three-dimensional mixed media constructs. The viewer is conveyed through worlds of both ambiguous and iconic architectural elements, tinged with Escheresque nuances, and a Dr. Seuss sense of fantasy.  Use of diverse mediums such as gold leaf, Acrylic Gesso, resin, and shellac, energize the entire body of work.  The overall effect of these unique works, is not only the blurring of two-dimensional compositions occupying three dimensional space but also compositions that transport the viewer into national and international  excursions via the artist's imagination.
